Actually I believe what you are looking for a lacto-ovo-pisceterian. A person who eats cat poop, fish poop, and dog poop.
mmmvegetarianism
The others are correct; if you eat fish, but are otherwise a vegetarian, you are a pescetarian (or "pesco-vegetarian"). I'm a pescetarian, because while I would love to go full vegetarian, I grew up eating seafood (Floridian here) so it's a hard thing for me to kick. I'm hoping to be 100% vegetarian by summer!
FYI: A flexitarian (or "semi-vegetarian") is one whose diet is primarily vegetarian, but occasionally eats meat. Fruitarians eat only fruits, seeds, and nuts. A pollotarian eats poultry, but otherwise eats a vegetarian-like diet. An ovo-vegetarian is a vegetarian who doesn't eat dairy products, but will eat eggs. A lacto-vegetarian is a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs, but will eat dairy products. A lacto-ovo-vegetarian (or just "vegetarian") will eat both eggs and dairy products. Veganism is a diet AND a lifestyle. Vegans will not eat or use any animal product.
rawr!! again
lost by giving up meat*
mike
i have now lost faith in humanity...
Emma
It all depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. Some are lactovovegetarians, ovovegetarians, lactovegetarians, lactovopessovegetarian (that one allows fish)....all the way down to fruitarians. The Simpsons does a good job of describing it in one memorable episode when Lisa befriends a tree-hugger who eats "nothing that casts a shadow".
and of course beef is a meat! You cannot honestly tell me that beef is anything but a meat....please stop wasting precious time on Yahoo and go back to school
Moron
Okay but beef is not meat, is it?
Matthew
Just because fishs looks retarded don't equal not an animal
sshhh
i agree, fishes look incredibly retarded
Randomacity
I' a Vegetarian by choice, not by wanting to save the chickens. I eat fish, because it taste good, thats about it.
Aya
Whether it's by choice or because you gave up meat for ethical reasons, fish is an animal, therefore you are not a vegetarian.

the basic rules: 1. if you eat any form of animal you're not vegetarian. and yes, fish count as animal. 2. hard core vegetarians don't eat anything that requires the death of an animal (this includes rennet, gelatine, cosmetics and other products containing animal products, fish, oyster sauce, any other seafood, poultry, red meat, etc.) 3. soft core vegetarians don't eat animal flesh (but might eat rennet or gelatine, but not oyster sauce, fish sauce, or any form of seafood) but may wear leather, use products that contain some animal product e.g. cosmetics 4. vegans don't use any product that comes from an animal including leather, meat, dairy, cosmetics that contain animal products, wines that use eggs or fish in their fermenting processes, etc.
anyone who just cuts out red meat or poultry is giving it a shot, but not quite making it to being a vegetarian. but still, kudos to them for the effort they make anyway.
just to emphasise - IF YOU EAT FISH YOU"RE NOT A VEGETARIAN
Ravenstorm
If you think these are the rules, you are incredibly an unnecessarily defensive. If you eat fish, you are indeed a pesco-vegetarian. Its not about trying, it simply is.
Just to emphasize VEGETARIANISM ISN'T ALL ABOUT REMOVING ALL MEAT FROM YOUR DIET.
Aya
Ravenstorm, a person who eats fish is not a vegetarian. No one who eats meat can say they are a vegetarian, and fish is a type of meat.
If you only eat fish, you are a pescatarian, or just a person who eats fish. Stop calling yourself a vegetarian, because the point is to remove ALL meat from your diet.
schwam
this isnt really that much of a fail....jus saying
Vizard
Pescatarians abstain from eating all meat with the exception of fish - it's usually for health and dietary reasons or as a stepping stone into vegetarianism or veganism.
If people were truly serious about taking certain foods out from their diet, perhaps they should do research before they begin parading about their new, food-forward lifestyle. I suppose a few of you could do some research yourselves.
