Actually, if she has Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS) then it's quite possible she is externally and apparently female, but has a very shallow vagina. If she hasn't had a period yet, it's possible, and she should see a doctor.This syndrome causes a genetic male during gestation to not develop certain male sexual characteristics. Since before a certain age all male fetuses are "female" (until male hormone production begins), an insensitivity to androgen can cause what appears to be a perfectly normal female who has external genitalia but no vagina and no ovaries. Treatment is to continue life as a female (though genetically male) and either accept the condition, get surgery, or through gradual pressure with a cylinder extend and stretch the vaginal opening up inward into a functional vagina adequate for sexual intercourse.
