I'm unsure if this is a fail really. It's more sad and I think concerns arise from this on both ends. I would say most definitely it can cause long term physiological damage, but at the same time, I suppose everyone has certain sexual urges that must be met. I'd say that the mother is doing her best she can think of and I only hope that instead of doing it on her own, that she would seek help from her husband who may know a better way to help their son. I mean she's a woman, and doesn't know the first thing about what it is to be a man, and the father should be the one to explain or at least give hints.
